Organization
Idaho Media Professionals is a state-wide organization committed to growing the film, television and new media industry throughout Idaho, developing a professional workforce through education and job opportunities, and advocating for legislative measures that will grow the industry in Idaho.
Idaho Media Professionals (IMP) produces a variety of events annually to foster a networked community of professionals involved in the film, television and interactive industries in Idaho. Designed to be fun yet dynamic, the screenings, mixers and other events will generate serious discussions on issues of interest and value to industry professionals. Full members will participate continually in guiding the development of the organization and electing the Board of Directors.
Idaho Media Professionals is a non-profit, 501(c6), organization, eligible for grant funds on state and federal levels, as well as from private foundations. Membership dues, sponsorships and other contributions to a 501(c6) are not tax-deductible donations, but are a legitimate business expense.
Board of Directors & Staff
IMP will be overseen by a volunteer Board of Directors which will include representation from across the state of Idaho. Initially, the Idaho Film Advisory Committee (IFAC) will serve a dual function as the IMP Board of Directors, and will retain its current function as an advisory group to the Idaho Film Office (IFO) in order to continue working closely with the Idaho Department of Commerce to promote the growth of the media industry in Idaho through legislation, education, workforce development and marketing. Additionally, the IFO staff will serve as staff for IMP, handling the administrative duties associated with the organization until such time as funds are in place to hire a separate staff for IMP.
Membership
Membership applications are available here, and will also be available at each "Last Monday" mixer. IMP Mixers are held each last Monday of the month (except December) from 5:30 to 7:30 at Chandler’s Steakhouse at Hotel 43 in Boise. Watch your email for reminders of mixers, meetings, galas, screenings and more.
